A friend sent me this Internet Week Opinion piece: Reasons To Shun Open Source-ry . It is without contest the worst thing I’ve ever read regarding Linux and open source issues ever.

The point seems to be « Linux is not ready for the enterprise ». I’ll let you judge if it proves the point. Or any point.

Pixar remet ça, et c’est un franc succès encore une fois!

Knickknack, qui précède le film, est très réussi (surtout considérant qu’il date d’avant Toy Story I), et on fait un lien direct à son concept dans Finding Nemo ensuite.

Ça fait longtemps que j’ai ri autant au cinéma!

J’ai très hâte de voir The Incredibles en 2004, maintenant… Je me retrouve curieusement dans le héros de la bande annonce qui passe avant Finding Nemo…

J’essaye de trouver des questions que des gens pourraient se poser à propos du droit et des technologies.

Je ne pense pas ici nécessairement à des trucs tordus comme ceux dont je vous parle tout le temps mais des trucs plus normaux, issus de tranches de vies, d’expériences, si possible.

Il n’y a de sotte question que celle qui n’est jamais posée, alors j’attends vos suggestions en commentaire.

Wow, auto•des•sys vient de réussir à sortir la version 4.0 de form•Z! C’est compatible avec Mac OS X, et tout. Les palettes d’outils ont beaucoup changé depuis la version 2.6 que j’utilisais à l’université, il y a déjà presque 4 ans, mais je m’y retrouve!

La version de démonstration (prise ici) ne me permet pas d’enregistrer mes « chefs d’oeuvre », mais autrement, je suis complètement dans mon élément… Je me revois sur mon puissant PowerBase, passant des heures non comptées pour accoucher des rendus appropriés pour les projets de mon bac…

Il est perdu dans les vastes espaces du MEC de Montréal, tout frais ouvert, bien entendu…

Ma courte visite m’a permis de comprendre pourquoi L’Aventurier a levé les pattes aussi vite récemment; L’étalage de Gatorade en poudre (yuk) du MEC est plus vaste qu’un magasin L’Aventurier au complet…j’exagère à peine.

Une chose est sûre : je n’aurai jamais vu autant de logos MEC en même temps.

Seek se nourrit probablement au très chic KK qui a ouvert ses portes juste à côté (le premier au Québec). Deux commerces parfaitement complémentaires, eh?!

There is a new song by Madonna’s that got leaked and obviously ended up on p2p file-sharing networks. I’m not familiar with the specifics of the song itself. The interesting tidbit is that a decoy song also got leaked. It’s a mostly empty track containing the following prose by the artist herself:

« What the fuck do you think you’re doing? »

It’s supposedly been offered with a attractive name on filesharing networks.

It’s been reported by Billboard, Arstechnica, BiPlog
and many many others .

Well I got curious and I managed to find the decoy file. It was named « MADONNA-AMERICAN LIFE- LOVE PROFUSION-New.mp3″.

Now I wonder… This was obviously put on a p2p sharing network by the rights holder. Under what kind of licence is it released? Until further notice, I’ll consider that there is an implicit licence to redistribute attached to this work. But just in case, I’ll stick to providing you with a small excerpt of the 4:33 original track.

I’ll let you discuss on the implications and the rationale behind the release of such decoys.
